Her childhood was shaped by frequent moves across several states due to her father’s pastoral work within the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. These early experiences instilled in her a deep sense of faith, adaptability, and compassion for others.
Paula graduated from Paola High School in Kansas in 1980 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Pittsburg State University in 1984. Shortly thereafter, she made New Mexico her home, where she would build a meaningful life rooted in family, service, and community.
